We have been working hard this summer to prepare for the launch of the Texas Virtual Learning Center. Our learning management system is near completion and we are excited to inform our districts that we will have several courses available on August 8, 2011. This will allow districts the opportunity to use our courses for free during their in-service week through August 31, 2011. All districts can take courses in the TVLC. The only difference is fee service districts will have unlimited access throughout the year for all staff and non-fee service districts will pay course by course for participants. The district can provide a P.O. for participation or the user can pay themselves using a credit card.
We are urging all districts to participate in the upload process. The reason it is so important that we get all districts to participate in the upload is to allow users to track their courses in our transcript feature, districts to track their users in our reporting features, and everyone to take advantage of our free offerings for the next three weeks.
